Why this exists
Three things are missing.
Once you see them, you can’t unsee them.
Working alternatives exist and nobody’s heard of them.
Cooperatives, land trusts, community-owned utilities, credit unions. They’re not rare. There are 300+ of them mapped right now, on every continent, in every sector you can name. Most people don't realise these are all part of the same transition to a fairer economy.
That’s a marketing problem. The first one to fix, because nothing downstream works until people know this stuff exists.
So we tell the stories. Proof, not slogans. Real names, real numbers, things you can start today.
People find out, get fired up, and then hit a wall.
They want to join something. They don’t know who’s doing this near them, or how to find the others who feel the same way. The movements themselves are scattered too, working in parallel, rarely talking to each other, reinventing the same wheel a hundred times over.
We close that by routing people to the 300+ movements already running, and by helping those movements find each other.
Even once people are connected, that still doesn’t touch who actually owns and controls the economy.
That’s the deepest part. Ownership and decision-making staying concentrated with the people furthest from the consequences. Closing that means it moves toward the people closest to the problem instead. Cooperatives, community land trusts, and credit unions are how that actually happens.
We don’t do that work ourselves. We point people toward the people doing it.
How we actually run this: Connect, Create, Share, Reflect, Play. Repeat.
Connect people out of isolation and into community. Create one small thing, on purpose, together. Share it: knowledge, stories, resources, given freely. Reflect on what it actually produced. Play, rest, whatever restores you, because none of this works if everyone burns out.
Then it starts again, with more people in it than last time.
